Went there this past spring, after having taken a rafting trip from Glen Canyon Dam to the bend and back. It's amazing to think how high up you are above the water (at least 1,000 feet!). Though it does need to be pointed out - ALWAYS pay attention to where you're stepping on the rim - some of it is actually hanging above the rim, and there's no railing anywhere.
