Had a great day here with the kids at the beach. Take the Ferry from Toronto (15 min ride) and soak in the beautiful views of Toronto. We went to Center Island and walked to the beach. There is a small amusement park for smaller kids, places to eat and if you want to explore the whole island you can rent bikes.
This place is disgusting and way overpriced. The whole place smelled VERY musty and moldy. There is a pool but the kids said it was cold and it looked a little cloudy to me. There used to be a hot tub but it has been removed. The Air Conditioner was very loud. The rooms are old and in disrepair. My kids called this place the "Rat Trap", I would NOT stay here even if they gave me the room for free.
Stopped here on our way to Toronto (only 90 min from Toronto). I have a 10 and 13 year old. They enjoyed it were hoping more animals would be closer to our car. There are daily events were the elephants go for a swim in their large pond, a short boat trip is included, they have a very large splash pad for the little kids and other shows. I think this place is geared towards kids slightly younger than mine. Depending on how crowded the park is the drive through the 'safari takes 50 to 90 minutes, there are also shortcuts you can use to shorten the time it takes if you want to cut it short. You can drive through the safari as many times as you want. We saw people rolling down their windows and feed the animals and this strictly prohibited. I added 10+ pictures .
This was a newly remodeled Hampton Inn just minutes away from the Canadian border. I stopped there for the night with the kids before moving on to Toronto. Friendly staff, pool, hot tub, good Wifi, nice rooms all at a reasonable price. Hot breakfast included Waffles and a continental assortment. Lots of places to eat near by as well. I would definitely stay here again.
