Aug 22,2018 heading west stayed overnight in C class motorhome, $52.00 , large wide pull throughs . Very nice campground, professionally maintained golf cart guide to site, full hookups including good WiFi , clean large dog fenced dog play area and cable tv.
Cracker Barrel and Walmart just an easy few miles away. We didn’t have time for the tour to caverns but it looked interesting. This looks better than any other choices nearby

Awesome State Park and Campground, we stayed in an Rv for 10 days in 2016. We originally reserved four nights but after a few days we realized we wanted to stay longer, reservations are filled many months in advance so we had to move every few days to different sites. The office staff was very nice and helped us find open sites. We reserved two weeks for 2018.... and I made sure to book as soon as the reservation calendar opened. The sites are very well laid out like a resort, separated well, very clean with Mountain and City View’s..., the military army base, Fort Carson is across the way and everyday you will hear the Bugle Morning Reveille Call, Lunch Mess Call and Evening Taps Call. The sounds sometimes made the coyotes howl. The park has many walking and mountain bike trails and other sport activities. The town of Colorado Springs has so many places to spend time at and awesome restaurants. Electric, water and sewer hook ups every site, this is the best state park we have ever stayed at.
