If you’re looking for a camp site that is a true experience (lots of people to talk to, pretty views, campfire ring, etc.), this is NOT the place for you. This is mostly full-time campers. But we tend to find a place to camp and then are gone most of the time while we explore all around us. So this worked out perfectly. Rick, who runs the place, is very personable and gave us some ideas to do in St. Joe. The bath house was very clean and a laundromat was available. Wifi available but not real strong. New concrete pad, so very level. Some road noise but we barely noticed it. If you’re not looking for a campsite experience but more of a base, then this place will be good!

A beautiful and well maintained state park! RV pads were all concrete and ours was very level. We chose our campsite and paid online, so we just found our spot and set up. Quite a bit of space in between camping sites, so the feeling of privacy was really nice. Bathrooms were older but cleaned and stocked each day with soap, toilet paper, and paper towels. Only drawback was the many wasps who chose to live in the bathrooms and we forgot our wasp spray at home. Quiet, beautiful park and we’ll definitely stay here again.
