I booked on Price line, called this hotel to confirm my upcoming reservation and request bed and room preference. I talked to Karen, she was busy and away from the deck doing a security check and asked if I could call back in a few minutes. I said "of course" and called back approximately 15-20 minutes later and proceeded to request my bed preference in a non smoking room. She stated that I would need to address that request through Price line and they would advise the hotel of my request. I did just that. Price line then faxed the request and informed me that Karen was very busy and that I personally needed to call the hotel again and confirm that they received the faxed request....what a mess!
Some hotels will just do the request themselves others make you do leg work that ultimately leads to frustrated customers as well as hotel staff having 4 phone calls instead of just one and trying to honor a request. Ridiculous!
I guess we shall see if I get the requested room when I check in.
