I Love Penny's! They have the best selection of local beers, wines, and ciders and do all sorts of fun things with the brews on tap (like brewmosas!). They have food trucks sometimes and allow outside food and food deliveries. There is also play equipment for kids, a garden, greenhouse, and chickens!
Penny's is dog friendly, kid friendly, and the atmosphere outside under the big oak tree is nice and laid back.
And, there's a farmer's market on Saturdays!
Beautiful park! We stopped by for a walk on a road trip from NC to TX , and had a great time! We could have spent all day here. The trails are clean and well maintained, with nice signage and picnic areas scattered throughout the woods. 😃
We drove around the perimeter of the park, but, couldn't find any sort of entrance or trails.
dumpy, not very clean, check in took forever. breakfast wasn't very good, and there was no one manning the waffles or omelette station BOTH mornings. The staff was friendly, but I question the cleanliness of the establishment since there was very old chinese food left in the mini-fridge that looked like it had been dropped out of the sixth-story room we were staying in.
Mckee Botanical Garden was one of my favorite stops on my Vero Beach trip in summer of 2014. Beautiful collection, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and not crowded at all. We got tons of great photos, and I would love to go back.
