Went and explored this place, was in awe at the ruin of the hospital and was there for quite some time going around the outside and a little on the inside, but as told by a tour guide (after visiting this place first of course) you need to be more afraid of the living than the dead. So be aware and be safe!
Was a really unique place, learning the history behind it was really neat, like stepping into the shoes of the past and seeing it all first hand. Tour guide was very nice and really knowledgeable. The unfinished part of the plantation really shows the grandeur the place could have been. A definite must see in Mississippi.
Amazing Walking Tour! He was so informative and the way he told the stories about little things that happened around downtown in old Vicksburg and who the ghosts may be that haunt this part of town. They've got plenty of stories to tell, and have plenty of ghostly sightings to tell you about, I would suggest this to anyone spending the night in Vicksburg.
The driving tour as I am told, allows you to enter a haunted house with permission from the current owners which is not open to the public.
