The resort is perfectly situated within the city so that you don’t have to drive any of the narrow streets to get to it, but you’re still within walking distance of Bourbon Street and all the action. The pool and hot tub were really nice as was the fitness center. The sites were a nice size and most had a swing while some had gazebos. The staff was also very helpful and even set up a tour for us with one of the tour companies that picked us up right at the gate.
This was a beautiful location. We got there late and didn’t have a ton of time to enjoy the beach, but we were able to park our RV at the beach pavilion for free which saved us some time as the campsites are quite a distance from the beach by foot.
We stayed here one night passing through. As others noted, there isn’t much around. The campground was nice though and everyone was very friendly.
This was such a fun experience and I had no idea there was so much to do on the island. I could have easily spent the day there and would have loved to camp there also.
