LOVED this park. This beautiful place must be kept a secret here in Maryland because it was almost empty during our stay. we stayed in one of the minicabins, which was clean and comfortable. we seen many different wild animals during our visit. my favorite being the mother deer with the twin fawns. many squirrels, bunnies, chipmunks, birds of all kinds, a raccoon, and LOTS of deer. park is quiet and the sky view at night was gorgeous, so many stars.
check in was difficult even with reservations, the park rangers are running more than one park so we had to wait for our codes to the cabin, but the rangers checked on us and drove thru alot while we were there so our timing must have been off when we arrived.

the bath house is very nice with large showers that have a nice bench in them, they were clean and tidy(except for the spiderwebs and spiders but im sure they are hard to keep up with)

i will definitely be staying in Gambrill again! if you get a chance to visit Gambrill make sure you make the drive to the top of the mountain to the lookouts! and oh there are may geocaches in Gambrill and not many muggles!

Alot of walking, but totally worth it. Town is a little eerie being empty, but full of history. make sure you tour the town, and walk up to the lookout, and of course the beach is stunning, in 2013 there were still some water erosion caves along the beach that you can walk up to. alot of photography opportunities. take water with you especially if its hot.
