Summer street itself is fun to drive by, with so many mansions! I wouldn't go out of the way for this pit stop, but if it's en route the detail to the design of the mansion is beautiful

This is a gorgeous park, perfect for camping and exploring the adorable town of Adrian, MN. There is a small trail near the back of the campground (over the creek) where you can walk around the prairie, or enjoying a game of frisbee golf, life-size chess or volleyball/basketball are all popular things!

Blachard Dam is a great day trip, or detour along the highway to stretch your legs! This is one of the few places in the U.S. to find cross rocks, and has great fishing. It's difficult to access the bottom of the dam from the road, but makes for an adventure! The walkway above the dam is much easier to access and still has great views. I would definitely suggest venturing out to this secret spot!

I spent a summer day on a solo adventure here, hiking the beautiful rolling hills and kayaking on the small lake. This is a very peaceful, lesser known State Park, but an absolute hidden gem. Canoe and Kayak rentals were available in the summer, and there are also activities to do in the winter. I highly suggest adding this to your roadtrip!

Blanchard Dam is definitely a secret beauty, even for the locals! This is a great spot for fishing, hiking, or searching for rare cross rocks (this is one of the only places to find these cross shaped rocks in the US) Blanchard dam is always an adventure! Make sure to find the entrance via the gravel road (305) off of hillton road or you might hike down a 20 foot drop to get to the bottom of the dam! This is a secret spot along highway 10 at Royalton, definitely a worthwhile adventure place.

This scenic area makes for a gorgeous detour, surprising in the typical flat landscape of the dakotas. The waterfall was pretty slow in mid April, but was still a great place for pictures and to stretch our legs.
