According to this site: https://www.danversstateinsaneasylum.com/demolition
As of 2006 demolition has started on the site, not sure if its part of the building or all - can't find much more

MUST visit! No picture does this place justice (make sure you've got an empty memory card/photo stick you will take more photos than you plan on)
Do the FIRST tour of the day if possible and avoids schools and kids if that's your thing, and chances are your tour group will be small so your tour guide will spend extra time with you!!
You will be inside and outside (they will provide small umbrellas so no need to bring your own) and depending on the tour you take pictures are allowed. There is a small cafe, bathrooms, and gift shop on site.
VERY easy to spend 2 hours here. Many walking trails and there's no place you won't get a great photo!

Overwhelming, breathtaking experience. I believe its open from sunrise - sunset. I arrive there later and avoided any school crowds. Parking is available and free, and signs are well placed throughout the surrounding areas to get you there.
Be respectful and quiet please!

By far the most beautiful hotel I've ever stayed in. The MOST friendly staff, everyone greeted me. Very historic town as well many things to do in the area.
The accommodations go above and beyond what I expected, perfectly quiet, relaxing, my stay was enough to convince me to go back and spend more time there!
Would be fantastic for couples and a romantic weekend.

Don't go out of your way to see it. It's pretty cool if you're into art/architecture. You have to go into the mall visitor center in order to get more information on the arch (ps, don't go to the McDonald's nearby and ask, they'll look at you confused...I thought it was funny!) The McD's is also a really nice place to get safe photos opposed from expressway or walking along the busy road into the mall.
Pretty impressive, much larger than expected!

Friendly service, clean rooms and comfortable surrounds is best explanation.
It is within a 15 min walking distance of the Falls.
Although, and maybe due to the time I arrived, many of the restaurants were closed so I had to eat at one the casino hotel restaurants nearby: this is in no way a reflection on the hotel as its not their fault.
If restaurants are open there were a lot of choices available.

NOT worth it. Not only is it a harrowing drive through one lanes and detours and on gravel roads through personal family farms, but it also didn't work for me. Used a bottle of water, nothing happened, so got my bowling ball out and tried a number of places between the markings on the road - nothing happened anywhere.
My GPS and phone dropped out a number of times to and from.

Not worth it to go out of the way. Roamed around but never found anything of interest or what the pictures captured. MAYBE I just didn't go far enough. Waste of time and energy to get to.
