Well worth the trip. Stunning emerald water, teeming with large trout. The self operated covered raft has an open bottom to view the deep, clear water.
Surrounded by lovely forest, there’s lots of opportunities for photos and hikes.
We stay at Super 8’s pretty regularly on road trips. This is the best by far. The personnel were extra friendly and helpful. The lobby is inviting with a comfortable lounge area with large flat screen tv. Free breakfast is offered with waffles, toast, yogurt, cereal, hard boiled eggs, milk, juice, coffee, teas and more. The staff took obvious pride in their jobs.
Our room appeared recently renovated. Attractive decor, clean and lovely view of the lake. The beds were comfortable. Lots of storage and spacious in general.
Other amenities include, pool, sauna, laundry, large dining area, and deck.
This is in my top 5 favorite places in Michigan. We were stunned by the beauty of the rocks and views. The kids had a blast climbing in the rocks. I could have spent hours here exploring the park.
