While it is posted “No overnight camping” a dozen trucks and other campers were there. Flat paved or gravel shoulder parking. Well lit with bathrooms and picnic tables. Dump station closed. Some idling semi noise but little noise from I70. Easy walk to Walmart, auto parts stores or Starbucks if you need it.

Winter seasonal closure from November ? to May 15, so could not have stayed. But it’s also closed for fire burn scar rehabilitation from 1-2 years ago. Burnt trees and low scrub.

6 sites right next to the Yellowstone River, surrounded by horse pastures and a quick 5 mins off the highway. Picnic tables, fire pits and flat sites. Nice and quiet with only 3 of the 6 occupied on a Wednesday in late July.
