Chini Tiongco must be a badass, because this hike was the most strenuous thing I've ever done. It was my biggest challenge and best view so far. I'm from sea level. I was in CO for about 3 days before I attempted Mt. Elbert, and I was definitely not as acclimated as I thought. This was every bit worth it; but don't do it thinking anyone can. You should know a good bit about 14er hikes before you try one. If you're up for the challenge, though, the view may be the best reward you've ever received. Happy climbing!

Worth stopping, if you're hungry in Buena Vista. None of the beers I tried were outstanding (got a sampler); but they were all decent. The same goes for the food (only tried two dishes, though). The bright sides were that it was in a neat part of town, and our server/bartender was really cool. It also looked like there were working on some outdoor/patio seating areas; which would be great since it's in a nice area. I'd go again if I were there.

Good place! I believe the cost was $11/night. The tent-camping sites were well-kept, each with a fire pit, a picnic table, and a bear-proof box. The view of the Great Sand Dunes and the surrounding mountains was nice. The drive from the main road was long and a bit rough; but didn't require 4wd. If I'm ever camping in that area again, I would gladly revisit this site.
