I would like to start off by saying I have not stayed at this lovely property but knowing the kindness the owners showed to an entire road full of strangers I definitely would.
Saturday February 13th my bf and I had planned a trip to tillamook for his birthday with our 3 big dogs and a travel trailer and headed off on an adventure. Neither one of us watch the news and didn't know we were headed into an area that got hammered with snow and ice. After running over a few down powerlines and weaving thru down trees we decided it would be safest to head home. Every highway we needed was closed. So we turned around and headed home to Springfield. Due to the rain the trees were still taking on weight and snapping. We came to a freshly fallen tree that had taken out a few power polls. As we are waiting on the road I can see his guy in a 4 wheeler pulling branches out of his driveway and I felt bad for him. I could see an even bigger tree down up the property. Alot of work ahead for them. At this point my bf walked ahead to ask if he could help in any way. The property owner is whipping branches out of his driveway like it's no big deal and about 15 min after my bf left he came back. The tree has been cut down but the line is still blocking the road. The property owner that was working so hard to clear his driveway is going to let us use his personal driveway that lets out on the other side of the down poll. What? This complete stranger is going to let 30 cars potentially destroy his driveway so we can go home? We are in a massive truck and pulling an ultra lite trailer and there is a guy infront of us hauling a massive pipe on an extra long bed. Thank goodness for 4wd and a CDL so he made it without issue even though the driveway was steep. The kindness from total strangers was unreal. As we were driving up into the driveway the family stood at the porch, mom and kids waving at all of us going through their property. It was picturesque. It was this incident that saved our trip from a total loss to an adventure. Hospitality is my profession and I've been doing it for 18 years. Thank you so much. I will not forget the kindness you showed all of us strangers. I'm saving this listing and will highly reccomend if they are in the area and need a place to stay that they come here. Over the top hospitality. Sean and April
