Beautiful view of the surrounding mountains from my site which sets up on a hill. Liked this particular site with a deck and lovely view. It was across from the bathroom/ shower, however, they did not clean the bathroom daily. Very dirty! No soap the first night, broken glass on shower floor for days. Gravel road coming in dusty and rutted. Liked the location, but would not stay again due to dirty unkempt bathrooms,

When we arrived after driving 6 hours we were not too happy with first impressions. No check in or maps given out, so we went right to our site. It was marked on the post with a tag for the car. We had a problem when connecting with our surge protector with an error code. It was very hot and buggy with no seeums and I thought we’d be without AC. Got ahold of park ranger and he checked the electric at the outlet as being active. Our protector was reading “ no ground”. We connected without the surge protector and was ok. Cancelled our last night and the ranger was very nice reimbursing it on the spot. All in all, site 43 on the water is a great site, shaded and level with sunset view through the trees. A plus that the bathroom/ shower is air conditioned but very old and shower not draining properly.

I gave this 3 stars because of the bathroom. One bathroom with 2 toilets and 2 showers for 57 campsites. Not very clean and I could not change the water temperature, therefore had a very hot shower in 100 degree temperatures ! They could at least have a big fan in there for air movement! Also lots of bugs. Everything else is nice in this campground. I was given the senior discount when checking in by a very friendly woman. The large sites are all nice, gravel and mostly level , and spaced nicely.
