Great little inn. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Quaint and well taken care. Good place for a mid trip stop.
The food was good but the price didn't match. Super expensive. Rather go up the road to Good Karma and get better food for half the price.
Fantastic food. Definitely save room for dessert as the pastry chef is phenomenal. We had a new waiter who was terrible, but the chef came out and made it a great experience.
Clean with a nice continental breakfast. There's a train that goes by about every half hour through the night, all whistling as they go. Likely this will be an issue anywhere you stay in Flagstaff. The bathroom is a strange setup with the sink and vanity in the main room. Be careful if you're standing at the sink and someone else is coming out of the bathroom. You might get knocked down by the door.
We loved everything we did here. The park is simply spectacular and absolutely breathtaking. If you're adventurous the Angels' Landing hike and The Narrows hike are not to be missed.
Get up early to catch the first shuttle at 6am for both hikes. This way you'll miss the crowds and avoid strenuous hiking in the heat. I reviewed Angels' Landing on the Roadtripper page I found for it, so I'll only give feedback on The Narrows here. With a permit, you can take the two day hike down the canyon into The Narrows. We did the day trip up which can be as long as you want it to be. Definitely go as far as "Wallstreet" which provides the most breathtaking views of the canyon. It's about a six mile hike round trip. If you're feeling extra adventurous, do what we did and hike a few miles further to Big Springs. The springs are beautiful, rushing over several boulders in the cliff side. This was supposed to be a 10 mile hike round trip, but with the number of times we crossed the river, it ended up being about 13. Be sure to have a walking stick or trekking poles as you are walking mostly in the river. The extra stability really helps. We also wore water socks and shoes for warmer feet. You will get wet and more so depending on the time of year. The water was mostly ankle to knee deep with one spot that was chest deep. Overall one of the most scenic and beautiful hikes I've ever done.
The North Rim gets high marks for being off the beaten path of most tourists. If you're looking for some amazing vistas without the crowds this is your best bet. We took the five mile hike on the Cape Final Trail. It was a pleasant hike through the Kaibab National Forest with some amazing outlooks. But we decided we might have enjoyed the Canyon more if we'd had time to take a few longer hikes into it. Overall a pleasant detour.
It's a diner. Don't expect much more. The wait staff is very nice and do a good job, but the food is exactly what you would expect to have at a diner. Compared to the other experiences we've had in the area, I was expecting more and was disappointed. The strawberry rhubarb pie was good however.
We didn't actually stay here, but the massages were great!
Ok, so we didn't actually eat the food, but the shop was great. They have a large variety of unique items. Hands down best place for Zion t-shirts.
Excellent service. The couple who run the bed and breakfast are very pleasant and helpful in every way. They also have a lot of good advice on hiking and the nearby parks. Cabins are clean and quaint. The property is beautiful and the cabins are far enough apart that you won't be bothered by other guests.
