The road going into the dispersed camping area was very rocky. Not to bad of a drive but I did have some concern regarding the sharp rocks. There were a lot of trails going back into the hills. There were several sites that were nicely laid out and had firepits. If it wasn't for the wind, we would have stayed the night. We ended going to a near truck stop and parked between two trucks.

There’s a sign at the entrance that’s says only overnight camping allowed. There are picnic areas with their own water tap. Great place to fill up with water. There were other campers here too.

One of my favorite Thousand Trails park. Most of everything is well maintained compared to other parks. Wish cell phone service was a little stronger. The paid Wi-Fi is fast enough to stream and do remote work.

Stayed here on a trip through California. Cost was $0.00 since I it was part of the membership.

Pros:
* Close to San Diego (about 30 minutes)

Cons:
* No Cell Phone Service (found a spot that worked toward the long term leasing section)
* WiFi is useless. It was in and out and unusable
* No map or properly marked areas telling you where you can camp. Had to talk with campers in the area to understand what each section was.
* Chaos. There were a lot of people leaving on one of the days but other people had already placed their tags on the electrical box before they had a chance to leave. Found out that it is common for people arriving to ask current campers if they can tag the spot so they can claim it after they leave.
* People are not in a good mood.

The Palm Desert / Palm Springs area was just OK to me. The only issue was with the daily sand storms.

Pros:
* Great community of people, very social park.
* Nice pool area
* Good Cell Service
* Descent Wifi in the Pool area
* Very friendly staff

Cons:
* Dusty
* 50 amp service was tight. Glad we decided to go with a 30 amp pull through instead.
* Not very friendly area for riding your bicycle outside the park
* Some highway and Train Noise but you get used to it. Not bad while in the RV.

The staff was very friendly at this campground and this was a welcome experience after visiting Pio Pico. We were able to get up on top of the hill which had two bars of 5G Verizon. We had been scheduled for four days but left after the first day. A lot of sites had issues with electrical service and there were several without electricity. The main reasons why we didn't stay were the following:

* There was no wifi available in the park.
* The lodges closed by 4pm.
* The hot tub was broken and wasn't scheduled to be fix until late summer.
* The area is not very walkable with several areas having water erosion dammage.

Easy to find. Right on the corner of the park across from the church. Donations welcome.
