My boyfriend and I each rented a kayak for the 7 mile trip down Coldwater creek. The owner, Jack, took care of us himself and gave us a quick history plus tips about the area and creek. He even gave us use of deluxe paddles as a complimentary upgrade. It was mid November - the weather was perfect, but it wasn’t very crowded (which we enjoyed of course) and I’m sure he’d like to upgrade all his guests even during busy season. He was very kind. The gentlemen that packed us out were Marc and his son, Vander. Marc was very knowledgeable about all the different type of kayak options and selected a sit-on-top version for us. The brand was Twister. This was my first time paddling a sit-on-top. I enjoyed it so much that I’m buying one for myself for Christmas. Vander was extremely polite and knew a lot about the area and primitive camping in general. The trip was about 2.5 miles, but we didn’t stop. However, there were plenty of beautiful sandy mini-beaches to do so. They also had a small but great souvenir shop with some items I’ve never seen before. I would highly recommend this place. We want to bring all our river friends from back home to Adventures Unlimited. Two thumbs up from us.
