Do not follow the verbal directions. Just park near 5th and Main and walk around a few blocks.
Away from the hwy, tucked in and quiet around the lake. This is private property so there is $10/day permit fee/for people over 13 if camping and $5/person for day use. You can get an annual pass. Camping is $18/day. There is fishing and a playground. We stayed at Kincaid Park but there is another campground at Sandy Shores.
The sites are level ( concrete pad or gravel) and have electricity and water. Nice spaces. Bathrooms near. The only shower is located at the marina bathrooms about 1.5 miles from camp.
This was a wonderfully relaxing hot spring. The gravel bottom feels so nice on my feet snd the different seating areas and temperatures in he pool make it very comfortable. The facilities are clean, the staff very friendly and several options for lodging or day use.
The night sky was amazing to look at while soaking.
Nice campground near CascadeLocks not in Hood River. It is noisy (train and hwy).
