Breathtaking views and fantastic autumn colors! We went cycling here and stopped by at James River visitor center. There was a foot bridge that you can cross over the historic James River. It was very relaxing and views are beautiful. We had lunch at a restaurant with great views of the mountains. Truly memorable experience.
Amazingly beautiful. A friend told us we had to spend at least some time on the Blue Ridge Parkway (BRP) that runs through the Blue Ridge Mountains. Truly it is a must. It is a ride with lots of curves and pulls ins to see the different views. Plan to spend some time stopping and enjoying. We did about 60 miles from Asheville to Linville and it was gorgeous. A must do!
Take a majestic drive through the Blue Ridge Mountains via the Parkway through the forests and along its cliffs. Stay for a hike and a picnic and experience the change in weather as you head as high as the view of Graybeard Mountain and down low to Asheville.
