Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on August 07, 2021This campground has a nice swimming pool, quaint cabins, and plenty of site for RVs and tents. The showers were clean and hot. My wife's favorite part of the camp was the game room. It has plenty of various memorabilia and things to do on a rainy evening. The entire camp is quiet and very secluded. Friendly staff tops it off for a camp that I hopefully will be able to return to.
The owners are simply wonderful people. A creek runs through the park, and I highly recommend trying to get a creekside site as they're a ton of fun for the kids to splash around in. A pond where you can fish, fire pits, a really nice playground, and nightly wagon rides are some highlights. A steep trail leads hikers from the campground back into the forests of Virginia's Appalachian mountains.
Their store has everything from basic RV parts to s'mores, most of what you'd find in an average convenience store.
Note that they do prefer cash, especially if you're going to be making purchases in the store other than your RV spot. As we stayed for two weeks, they were kind enough to just run us a tab until the end, but just something to keep in mind if you care to buy wood, snacks, etc.

Would not stay here again. Water smelled like metal. Entered office/store and asked if there was a laundry, response was: “ yes, see the sign that says laundry, 1 washer is broken, but the other works.” Lots of signs so it was cluttered. Looked in the laundry room and the washers tubs were dark with rust stains on the aggiatators. Left after one night even though we had paid for 2.
The park did have excellent WiFi. But no cell service. Also we could not get satellite signal due to trees on our site. Other sites may have worked.

Unique campground with lots of sites on the creek. In the middle of the Jefferson National Forest. They do have sulfur water which won’t hurt you but smells bad. Bring bottled for drinking. The camp store has a variety of items. Surprising neat little find!

This place is cool. A nice pool. Peaceful creek. Stellar game room/pool hall. Tons of playground options. A few random chickens in a little coop. It really offers everything, except wifi (only available in game room really) or cell service. This is your place to unplug.
The roads are well maintained. Sites are in excellent shape and hookups are super clean. Park is really in great shape.
We would completely stay here again.

Stopped last minute for the night while on the road. Site was not particularly private but the campground is very pretty. A creek runs through it, with stepping stones to walk across. Three playgrounds and a game room made it very appealing to our kids. Nice clean bath houses with laundry. Small fishing pond. Cute well stocked camp store. Friendly hosts. Very convenient to 81 but not close to the highway.
