“Spend the night in Jail!”
" If you've ever been curious about what its like to spend the night in jail, just head to Minnesota, where you can shack up behind the bars of a historical jail... without acquiring a criminal record. Welcome to the Wykoff Jail Haus Bed & Breakfast. Tucked away in the tiny southern Minnesota town of Wykoff, there sits a historic 1913 brick jail, where both petty thieves and hardened criminals once awaited their fates. Now, it's where you can await your own cruel punishment while en route to your mother-in-law's house. The small brick building has been lovingly converted into a truly unique bed & breakfast, complete with the original jail cell! While the two-room inn kept its two original bumps, they offer up a much more comfortable queen-sized bed in the guard quarters, as well as a full bath - no hose showers here. To make you feel even more at home... I mean, behind bars, they've done all the linens and windows in black and white stripes. Once you've spent your night in the slammer, the owners of the Jail House B&B issue you a breakfast voucher which can be redeemed just down the road. Heads up, though - you won't be getting any wifi signal behind bars. The quirky B&B doesn't offer any internet access, so you'll have to share your selfies with a phone you've smuggled in. As you can imagine, having only two rooms gets the place booked up fast. But if you can't snag a room, don't worry, there's another, far-bigger jailhouse just down the road! At the nearby The Jailhouse Historic Inn in Preston, Minnesota, you can opt to sleep in the old Sheriff's quarters (upgraded with a whirlpool), or hit the cellblock. Want more jailhouse slumber parties without the jumpsuit? Head to theOttawa Jail Hostel, or the lavish Liberty Hotel, both places where you can check into a prison hotel - and dictate your own check-out time." -Roadtrippers If you've ever been curious about what its like to spend the night in jail, just head to Minnesota, where you can shack up behind the bars of a historical jail... without acquiring a criminal record.
