“America's Largest Waterpark, the fun never stops”
Noah's Ark in Wisconsin Dells is America's largest waterpark. So, it's no suprised that it's home to America's first almost entirely vertical waterslide. The Scorpion's Tail is literally an engineering marvel. It's a waterslide that's also a veritable roller coaster. You basically stick to the walls of the looping waterslide because you're shooting down it at a tilted angle. So, this isn't the type of waterslide where you just go down, this one is run on a computerized control system. There's also an exit hatch and loads of sensors to ensure a safe ride. It was designed by WhiteWater West, an engineering firm whose original design has been used previously in Europe. You're propelled nearly 3 Gs fast, and the walls are made of semitransparent fiberglass. -Roadtrippers Noah’s Ark is located on 70 sprawling acres right in the heart of Wisconsin Dells, the Waterpark Capital of the World! Not everything is open yet. I've hear Fathers Day it all opens. Not sure why that is but it's super annoying for those who travel 8+ hours to go and a bunch of stuff isn't open for no reason.... Read more
Wisconsin Dells has a LOT of water parks to choose from. We chose this one. It was adequate. A lot of the slides were closed, but enough were open to keep the older kids happy. Read more
