Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on September 17, 2022We normally use KOA as a one -night only stop over. Due to area fires, our plans changed and we needed a place for a few nights. Advertised as a KOA Holiday, we thought that it would work for our needs.
Our site was considered deluxe.
It was very busy.
Bathrooms were heavily used, and toilet paper on the floor.
Shower curtains had mold growing on the bottom.
The activity/play center was neglected. Toys and bikes scattered about the area.
The paddleboat area water was brown and looked very dirty.
The adult hot tub was not in "working order".
Our fee was approx 80.00 per night.
I would definitely NOT stay there again.
WiFi was VERY slow and often would not load unless one walked near the office.

Paid $30 during the off-season which seemed a little odd. One bathroom was clean, but the ones near the office we’re pretty gross. May have been worth it for one night if we got an off-season rate to match the quality of the facilities.

This KOA has only a few things going for it. The people working here are nice, and it is close to Whitefish. The spots were narrow, not big rig friendly. They had a pool and hot tub but lots of kids, noisily and happily playing. They served breakfast but we skipped. WiFi was non-existent, as was cell coverage. Tent sites were interspersed next to RV sites and it got smoky at night with campfires.
But...as all other campgrounds nearby were full, it did the trick. Downtown was a few min away. The KOA near Glacier Park looks far better but was full.

I understand the negative reviews but for some reason I enjoyed this place.
We were in the first row by the office in a pull through. We have a 38 foot RV and had no issues navigating into the site or with the length of the site. If you follow their directions you should be fine driving through with most rigs. We also had cell service here that worked during the day and their WIFI worked for me during the day. I would not count on this but for some reason our site location + booster gave us service. They have free mini bikes for the kids and while it creates total chaos in the campground I loved that it felt like a real camp and not just an RV park. They also have donkeys and other animals wandering around.
I would come here with kids and not with the intention of working or having any peace and quiet. Embrace the camp vibes here.

We met one of the owners who seemed nice as well as other staff. One of the best tips we got was to go down the street to Best Buy and use their guest internet in the parking lot. There is WiFi at the campground, but it is virtually non functional, and cell service is limited as well as Verizon data. Out Sprint MiFi had no service. We were in a 40’ motorhome and our site was very narrow. There doesn’t appear to be any trimming of growth around sites as we parked in the only available narrow path on our site between trees. When we left, un-trimmed growth in front of us and a large rock (which the owner mentioned a 5th wheel had to drive over and moved it as he did) was in the way.

We picked this park because it was close to a town as well as Glacier NP. In retrospect we would have stayed closer to the entrance. We were about 40 minutes from the gates. Once you are in you are driving several more hours. If you want to be close to Kalispell (10 min) then this is a great spot. As you will read in the reviews the cell signal is not very good. Their wifi is not very good either. When the park was full phones were spotty but when folks left it was fine. We also use our phone for a hotspot and got it to work most of the mornings and evenings. As far as the park I would recommend a back in site. The pullthroughs are tight and are all on top of each other. We were in the back and were against the woods. Had a feel like a state park and had more space. Staff was great.
