“founded in a converted barn in 1978”
The Jones Museum of Glass & Ceramics was founded in a converted barn in 1978 and initially stocked with the personal collection of Dorothy-Lee Jones. She also owned the building housing the museum and the surrounding property. The barn had been remodeled and the collection enriched over subsequent years, until the museum achieved national recognition for the breadth and depth of its collection and library.
