Small campground with about half the sites are double sites. If you’re coming with friends, sites that close are nice but also brings in larger groups. Site driveways are small which is typically of a forest service campground and most are not angled well for trailers but you are still able to get your rig parked.
We were in site #12 next to the campground host at the back of the campground. We were able to get our trailer in and park the truck next to the trailer, however there was no room to extend our awning due to a tree. It was rainy while we were here, so having an awning would have been nice.
We put a cell booster up and received fluctuating cell service from 1-2 bars for both Verizon and T-Mobile.
Being close to the highway, you can hear the noise anywhere in the campground while outside.
The campground is well taken care of.
The area, Earthquake Lake, is extremely interesting regarding the history and what happened the night of August 17, 1959. Well worth visiting the Visitor Center and seeing the movie!
