Take your bikes just to cruise around or go for a great walk to the creek and the ponds! Wow! Great family time! Close to the West gate entrance of Yellowstone about 8-9 miles.
We pulled in for a quick overnight stay. Clean site, friendly staff, and pretty. Just know that the WiFi doesn’t work in the evenings. As the staff person told us “the WiFi is really slow and for some reason it doesn’t like IPhones
Lovely campground. Trail, stream, friendly staff!

If you have a bigger rig stay away. Sites are uneven. So uneven that tires are off the ground. Sewer is uphill from sites. Water requires a 50’ hose in order to reach the spigot when trying to find the most level area. Pretty river towards the back of the property but there isn’t any fishing as advertised. Mosquitos are crazy! They are redoing parts and I can only hope it includes the pull thru areas because they are absolutely awful. At $90 a night it is such a rip off. Try Grizzly RV or the KOA a mile closer to the park. Really disappointing.

Ok, it’s a KOA in a touristy area but at 112 a night? It’s the typical KOA size sites, little to no trees. Best part? Our sewer inlet was 16” above grade and on the uphill side of our site. Not sure who designed or did the install but I’m pretty sure they have never camped in an rv before. Staff was less the friendly. Most didn’t say hi or wave. West Yellowstone is an interesting place. Don’t think we will be back.

Grumpy and unwelcoming receptionist.
The campground is right in the highway so you get road noise. Also the driveways are gravel so you hear everyone driving by. We had a number of people start their harleys and trucks at 6 am and idle them for 20 minutes lol
The park is very clean. For the money this park isn’t worth it. We had full hookups but our gravel site wasn’t level. The private RV parks are so much nicer and so is their staff!

This KOA is close to the National Park and town, is clean, has spacious sites, and has well kept grounds. For the price, there should be more amenities. The dog park is very small and not enough room to run around. There is a couple of ponds and two bridges crossing over a beautiful creek. We enjoyed walking this with our dog, but our dog enjoys running off her leash as well. There use to be a pizza restaurant inside the front office, but it is closed due to lack of staff. Some of the front office staff could use some lessons in southern hospitality as they were rude. When returning to West Yellowstone, I would stay in town at one of the RV parks (closer to the park and town and cost was the same if not cheaper for same amenities). The wi-fi was spotty and we had to go outside to get it to connect sometimes. We use ATT&T and had two bars of cell service.
