“wake up to the sights & sounds of nature”
Imagine waking up to the sights, sounds and smells of nature in one of the most spectacular places on earth, whilst relaxing in your luxurious Safari tent. Comfortable enough to rival a hotel room yet, with the great outdoors of Yellowstone all around you. If you ever liked the idea of doing the outdoors thing, but didn’t like the idea of roughing it, now you don’t have to! Visit the world famous Yellowstone National Park and enjoy the great outdoors in a way that’s not possible anywhere else. Just 10 minutes from Yellowstone National Park entrance, our luxury camp boasts fantastic views, a quiet, secluded location, an onsite restaurant, a host of activities, and of course, Yellowstone right on your doorstep. This isn’t camping as we know it. As you enter West Yellowstone you will come to a signal light. This light indicates the intersection of Hwy 191 and Hwy 20. You will turn RIGHT at the signal and drive towards Ashton. About 5 miles from town you will cross the South Fork of The Madison River. Continue driving and after roughly one mile you should see on your right the log arch for the Bar N Ranch. Turn RIGHT and follow the driveway for about one mile and you will see the Lodge. If you miss the turn for Bar N Ranch on Hwy 20 you will come to the KOA Campgrounds. You have gone too far… just turn around and come back to the first driveway that will then be on your left. As you get into Idaho Falls from the South (Interstate 15), you will come to an exit for Hwy 20. Take that exit towards West Yellowstone. You will skirt Idaho Falls, Rigby, Rexburg, Sugar City and St Anthony. Keep going, you will go through Ashton and on up the hill, you will come to Island Park (holds the record for having the longest main street in the world, 37 miles). Keep going on Hwy 20, you will go over Targhee Pass then about 3 miles you will come to a KOA campgrounds, you need to slow down because we are the very next driveway to the left. There is a Bar N sign on the Hwy. Turn LEFT and follow the driveway for about one mile and you will see the Lodge.
I haven't stayed at this one but i did stay almost a week at the one in Moab / Arches National Park and loved it. We did stay in one of the bigger tents, which meant we had our own en-suite, but I'm sure any part of the place would have been heaps of fun. It was really comfortable, even in the heat. The people were extremely friendly and helpful too.
Under Canvas is the gold standard when it comes to glamping near the national parks. Our favorite option is the Stargazer with Kids Tent! The Stargazer is the upscale tent shown above -with a king sized bed- plus a second adjacent tent for the kids featuring 2 twin beds and a lounge area.
Enjoyed the experience. Location was also close to west entrance of Yellowstone Nat Park. You definitely want to bring warm clothing since the tent gets cold in evening and morning. Staff was great and loved that they drove us and our belongings directly to the tent. My doggies loved it as well.
