In September 2001, Martin’s Restaurant was born. I use the word born because my wife tells me frequently that opening a restaurant is like having a child. Both are a lot of work and they both need constant love and attention. They also are loads of fun and I feel blessed I have been able to experience both events in my life.Opening the restaurant was the culmination of 25 years in the business and the realization of a dream but I have had much help creating and sustaining that dream. My wife Jane’s taste in music and art and her welcoming nature are as much a part of your experience at Martin’s as our menu. Our children, Jenna and Evan have contributed their hard work and personalities adding greatly to the daily operations and the mood of the dining room. Matt, my sous chef, has been with us from the beginning and is an important part of every meal you enjoy at Martin’s. Our servers, Ellen and Claire have also been with us from the beginning and they are true professionals. They are as proud of their service as we are of them. Our bus people, Alyssa and Maria can only make your experience more pleasant.We offer the food on our menu for two simple reasons. First, I like to eat it and second, I would like to share it with you. From classic dishes on our menu to the eclectic specials we offer from cuisines around the world we use the best ingredients available. Our mission here is to serve you delicious food and make you feel at home. We would be honored if you choose to dine with us.
