“Whether sight-seeing, or just escaping, we have a place for you.”
The Bed and Breakfast is located in historic Central Virginia, “Jefferson Country.” It is less than thirty minutes drive from many attractions, such as Monticello, Ash Lawn-Highlands, historic Charlottesville with the University of Virginia, the Shenandoah National Park, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Appalachian Trail and TransAmerica Route 76 Bike Trail are close by. The farm adjoins Mint Springs Park, which is laced with good hiking and biking trails and features two lakes for fishing and swimming. The Bed and Breakfast is a suite of two rooms with its own private entrance and private bath, a queen-sized bed in the bedroom, a queen-sized futon in the sitting room for extra guests, and a kitchenette. Your hosts are David and Ginny Wayland. David is a retired Episcopal priest. Ginny recently retired as a librarian at the Crozet public library, so you can always count on the B&B having a good stock of books for relaxed reading. Each season at Wayland Orchard has its own attractions. Spring flowers lead to the orchard in full bloom; Summer provides relaxed comfort and recreation; Fall: the delight of apple harvest, cider making, and sugar maples in full color; and Winter: the birds, the views, the quietude of a farm at rest. We don't pretend to be elegant, just comfortable and affordable.
