“the little gem on the oceanfront”
The Belvedere Beach Resort, located in Virginia Beach, VA is privately owned and operated by the Sams & Willis family. This little "gem" on the Virginia Beach Oceanfront has a very loyal following of guests that have returned with their families year after year. Well known as a family destination, the Belvedere sits right in the middle of the quiet North End of Virginia Beach, away from congestion further south. Every one of our rooms offer private balconies with a spectacular view of the beach and free hi-speed WI-FI internet. We are convenient to the Virginia Beach Convention Center, the Virginia Aquarium, the Norfolk International Airport and a wide variety of local shopping and dining. We are within walking distance of many attractions, and we offer complimentary use of our adult bicycles with direct access to the boardwalk and bike path along the beach. The Wave Trolley picks you up right in front of our Hotel and will take you anywhere along the oceanfront you would like to go. While other hotels in Virginia Beach offer just "a place to stay", the Belvedere Beach Resort offers the perfect blend of fantastic value, good ole southern hospitality and an idyllic Oceanfront Location!
A cute little place connected to a hotel. It's right on the beach so you can look out at the ocean as you eat. It is rather small so getting here early is key if you're coming for breakfast. People are very nice and the food is great at well
Discriminatory Seating Policy Towards Singles
I will never eat there again. I live in Virginia Beach. I went there on a regular basis. This morning I waited the customary 15 to 30 minutes in the line. When a table opened up, they gave it to two people behind me who had gotten there fifteen minutes after I did. I said, "Wait. How is it they get to be seated before me?" The waitress who also cooks sometimes said to me, "That's the rule. All singles sit at the counter." I said, "Well, that rule needs to be changed."
I live here. I have seen them seat couples at the counter. In fact, they always do. So, because I did not have a date for breakfast this morning, I had to wait until only one person or some other couple they sat at the counter got up. Does any customer deserve to be treated this way? They are about the money and nothing else. I have eaten there and the food is just okay. It is not cheap. When you are waiting in line they are not user friendly at all. Skip this place. I left and told them I will never go there again.
