Magical. Serene. Unforgettable. Beauty, like you've only imagined. Find rest, romance, and adventure-all at one special place. Escape your world and come to our mountainside Bed and Breakfast! We are located at elevation 2800 feet, in the famous Blue Ridge Mountains. We're less than one mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway, 6 miles from I-81/I-64, and just a short distance from Lexington, Staunton, and Charlottesville, Virginia. Our view of the Shenandoah Valley is like looking from the clouds. We'll serve you a delicious full breakfast each morning (in our glass walled dining area carved into the mountainside) and then help you plan your day: hiking or rafting, visits to local wineries, shopping and antiquing in historical Lexington and Staunton, or you can simply relax in a rocker on our front porch as our natural beauty and tranquility persuades you to unwind. At our B&B you will enjoy wildlife year round, including an experience with hummingbirds you've never imagined! One of our guests wrote to us recently, "I'm an author, speaker, and leader of hundreds with tremendous responsibility. What I love about Sugar Tree most is the total reset I find during each visit. The innkeepers are kind and loving, uncommonly hospitable, and never smothering. The cabins and their setting are like something out of a Nicholas Sparks story... like a fairytale! Staying here is more than a visit, it is a life experience!"
Absolutely beautiful wooded setting. A lovely young family owns and runs the property. They were extremely kind and accommodating.
The rooms were very clean with plenty of natural light and fresh air coming through the many windows.
Dinner and breakfast were both outstanding. We were truly charmed by the breakfast waiter Freddy, as we know you will be too.
We highly recommend this stop to people like us touristing the blue ridge parkway and to anyone looking for a quiet getaway in a beautiful nature setting.
What a phenomenally gorgeous setting and experience. The owners are extremely friendly and hospitable. The main lodge and creek house were very clean, and felt warm and inviting. The accommodations are worthy of 4plus stars. We found this gem by chance and only stayed for one evening. Definitely a relaxing setting that deserves a longer stay. Will definitely stay there again!
