Daily Walk Stables Campground

Really enjoy this new well thought out campground. Great place to get away but also close to fabulous trails, shops and restaurants, whatever your pleasure! Clean, secure, easy in and out, wonderful host too! If big crowded campgrounds are not your thing, try Daily Walk Stables, you won't be disappointed.

The ladies who helped us were amazing and sweet. The campground is very clean and absolutely beautiful. Amazing hospitality, and beautiful animals

Great location, great people!

The Bad: Unfortunately from viewing the photos we were expecting a completely different experience and therefore disappointed. Rather than a campground, DWS is parking for 11 permanent trailers as evidenced by the large 'blue boys' the trailers share. There are three transient spots, numbers 8 and 9 sit close together and 9A is against the barn, all with 30 amp and water. A dump is available, for an additional fee. The entry road up the hill is filled with potholes and just off fast moving Highway 1. Entry gate is chained and must be opened/closed with each visit, not difficult. Group fire pit is directly in front of #9 which could be a nuisance, when used.

The Good: Our host was very welcoming; the proximity to Pinehurst and Southern Pines is six miles. Great restaurants, shopping. The grounds are quiet.

If you are traveling with horses, this is a good location with open pens and covered stalls to choose from. There are no trails leading directly from the site so you will have to trailer them to a nearby trailhead.
