Englewood Metropark

This is a nice little park, but over the years silt has filled where the lake used to be and it is now totally gone. to be honest, the park is left a little boring as a result.

Hiking trails are pretty nice and all are pretty easy with only the longest trail having one small hill/climb. On our last visit we hiked both the red and green trails totaling just under five miles.

This is one of the only parks I know of to have a wheel chair accessible trail/loop (blue) which is very nice.

Long roads throughout this park with bike lanes for a shady ride. Wetland lake is too shallow for boating but must be ideal for herons, egrets, and geese. More herons per square foot than humans!
