Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on September 26, 2023Absolutely loved this park! Nothing to do but enjoy the peace and quiet. Just what we wanted! Took a 5 minute drive up the road to Rosebud Casino. What a dump and very unfriendly staff. All the more reason to just hang at this camp and enjoy the beauty.
Very nice campground - not much for shade as it's basically in a field. Super quiet and friendly. We approached from the north so didn't even realize there is a River area with activities like kayaking etc. Not much for supplies at the campground - good store in Mission if you need supplies.
Easy access campground just north of Valentine, NE. Usually a lot of openings. Full hookups. Open field with little to no shade. Some road noise.

Pull through sites with full hookups. Open grassy field for tents. Some small trees. Sites are close together. Campground is clean. Did not use facilities. Easy in, easy out. Occasional truck noise.

Worked for us. Clean place. WiFi actually worked (can’t say that about most campgrounds). Reasonable rate.

We were going to stay at Smith Falls State Park but needed hookups due to the 100 degree weather in July. Sites are filed in but still a relatively small and quiet campground. Trees have been planted so some spots are shaded. The grounds are pleasant to walk and there is a beautiful goose roaming the property.
The office lady was super nice and very helpful. Bathrooms are clean and laundry is available.
This is a handy pass through but I would not choose as a long term stay. I will stay again if coming through.

The sites are more weeds than rock and grassy areas. They advertise “high speed internet” which is not true. For three night we struggled to even get 600kb and most the time we were the only ones here. They do have full hook ups minus cable. It is somewhat peaceful but you will hear some hwy traffic. The staff is very nice. I think for the price it is worth the stay, any higher and I’d say keep rolling.

We found this little campground to be just what we needed. Only four other campers here and the pick of any site we wanted. Gravel base with water and sewer right at your site. The wifi was good enough that we streamed a movie from our service. Downloaded videos to Facebook and sent out texts. A little road noise but nothing to complain about. Well kept with clean sites and a pavilion. Discounts for Good Neighborhood Sam and Escapee members. We enjoyed our overnight stay.

We called to get reservations and she was very polite and professional! When we arrived, we asked for ideas of things to do and she was very helpful!! When we wanted to extend our stay, she helped us with that and made it so easy. The campground itself is very well maintained. The restrooms were immaculate!! The laundry facilities were easily accessible. It is such a pleasant place. If we are ever back this way, we will definitely stay here again!!
