Northern Rail Traincar Suites offers a completely unique North Shore experience! Made up of authentic traincars renovated into gracious bed & bath suites. Northern Rail is set on 160 forested acres north of Two Harbors, Minnesota, near the intersection of Hwy 61 and Hwy 3 (see our sign on Hwy 61 just past Betty's Pies). Just 23 minutes from Duluth, guests enjoy quick, convenient access to all the North Shore's amazing activities including the Superior Hiking Trail, State Snowmobile Trail system, and Gooseberry Falls. Northern Rail features 18 elegant Northwoods, Victorian, Oriental & Safari themed guestrooms housed in actual train boxcars and connected by a charming enclosed platform. The depot-style main building includes check-in, lending library and the continental breakfast area.
