We stayed in the new section of the campground and really enjoyed the view of Lake Superior. There is no privacy between sites, but the view makes up for that. For those with Class As or Cs it's nice they give you the option to pull in or back in so you can choose your view out the back or front window. But for those of us in large 5th wheels, pulling in isn't an option, and it's rather awkward when your next door neighbor in a class A pulls in so you end up sharing a yard basically like a buddy site even when you didn't want a buddy site. We had 3 neighbors the whole week that pulled in next to us like that so we had a buddy site the whole week. The first few days were awful because the neighbors were so unfriendly and rude. I mean if we're going to be that close to each other we can at least be friendly right? Well, thankfully they left and the next people that pulled in were so much nicer and we enjoyed a campfire with them. We really don't like "buddy sites" unless we know the people next to us, but these sites are set up so that chances are you may be getting a buddy site whether you like it or not. Anyway, other than that we enjoyed this campground. The staff is very friendly and the location is great for visiting the north shore, Gooseberry Falls and Split Rock Lighthouse. Verizon 4G coverage was good there too.

July 4th week. No reservations and all campgrounds were full. This was the only campground for miles that wasn't full. Grass/gravel sites, not very level. 30 or 50 amp, water and some sites had sewer. Sites are close with very few trees. A few sites had fantastic waterfront views. Good in a pinch.

Loved being so close to Lake Superior and nearby walking trails. Walking distance to most things to do in town; the coffee shop/diner and the brewery.

Site was set up weird. Sewer connection was nearly too close to the road to reach, water hookup was on the wrong side. Our site was very well shaded, but had no view of the lake.
Highway noise was pretty consistent all day and night, but can't be avoided.

The campground is very big. Separated into multiple campgrounds. The area I stayed in has tiered levels so there is a view from the first, second, and third rows to the lake. Felt safe. Maintained very well it seemed. Sites were almost level and required a block or two but no big deal. It’s walking distance to town. Staff was nice. Very roomy for big rigs and paved roads getting to the gravel sites. Mine were not pull through but still very easy to get in and out of. Great place but just a little too Expensive.

Divided in 2 parts, big rigs may enjoy the newer tiered sections...smaller campers lower side by the lake. The David Dill sections has a very nice bathhouse. Felt safe. Even tho it’s a city campground, the deer still roamed around. Next time I’m staying lower level.

Great views of Lake Superior right from our site or the one next door(81). Limited as to what was available a little by Covid-19. We walked the short walk to the beach and we also paddle boarded after driving to the beach.

Water spigot was too far away from our parking spot on our site.

Cell service was slow even though we had 3 bars of T-Mobile LTE.

We stayed in Site 068. This site included full hook-ups. Everything was most awesome! It was a great place to stay, close to so many things to delve into...hiking, photography, etc.

Burlington Bay Campground was clean. The shower house by the playground was clean and new. The playground seemed fairly new and the kids loved playing on it. Walking on the beach lead to a nice City trail. The kids loved climbing all over the rock formations and finding new rocks.

The sites are close together and small. We tent camped and the ground was super hard. I am glad I had my MSR Groundhog stakes since my other stakes would not have worked. My MSR Groundhog stakes took a beating getting them into the ground.

The water from the site was good. Firewood at the campground is $6.00 a bundle and it is not well aged so it is a little hard to get going. The shop on site is nice and they stock quality items.

I would stay there again, but in the off-season so the campground is not full of people.

This is an interesting campground. They have a variety of campsites: Tiered camp sites with a great view (no trees), small campsites very near the water, and camp sites in a wooded area. The tiered campsites have plenty of room, while the rest are pretty tight - probably designed when people mostly camped in tents. As far as I can tell all sites have some kind of electric and the highest tier campsites have full hookups. Front desk staff were efficient and helpful. The beach is a typical Lake Superior rock beach which draws people to it. There is a short paved walking path, not to be missed, that begins on the south end of the beach and leads to Lakeview Park.

The WiFi worked GREAT in site 5B! Verizon cellular was also very strong. On this weekend there was a kayak rental trailer available at the beach.

There are many state parks and other bike/walk paths in this area. Two Harbors is a happening place in the summer so be prepared for some slow traffic. There is a burn ban in Lake County at this time, so set aside those ideas during your visit. You will be able to keep busy without a campfire.

There is a little noise in this campground, but it's generally soothing. There are sounds from the shipyard in the distance, a little bit of traffic noise from M61, campers talking, and geese, gulls and other birds squawking. These are to be expected in a lakeside campground near a town and I found it pleasant.

Our site was small and neighbors close. For 2 nights with tax and everything it was $84 and we had one of the less expensive sites. However, the trails and area here were wonderful for us.
