“RV Park & Campground”
Walk up the dock ramp and board the unique “shrimp boat” office to register. Feel special as one of our crew escorts you to your site! Wake up hearing the birds singing high above in the old oaks. Lounge on the white sand beach or slip into the cool, spring water. Catch big blue gill and bass or paddle around the lake. Explore nearby historical sites: Darien, Fort King George, Sapelo Island, Hofwyl Broadfield Plantation and Jekyll Island to name a few. Would you rather have a laid back day? Relax in your camping chair and take in the lake views. Stroll along the lake’s edge as the sun sets behind the tall pines.

Power was great, water great, WiFi super, site clean and pretty but the flying gnats were unbearable!
I am from the south, we were bug spray prepared but the campgrounds need to spray to help you out with this situation.
Lovely campground but could not enjoy it!

My family and I stayed here for two nights and loved it! The area is beautiful, quiet, and peaceful. The lake is full of large mouth bass, unfortunately they didn’t want to feed on my bait. It was still fun to kayak around the lake and look at the massive fish near the shores. We had such a good time, we made our reservation for Memorial Day weekend while we were checking out. This time I plan to bring a bigger variety of bait.

Stopped here between savannah and Jacksonville on a Thursday and Friday night. Full hookups and close to highway but far enough to avoid road noise. Checkin people were friendly. Like at a typical private park, the neighbors are close but people were pretty quiet both nights. Laundry was 1.75 per washer and 1.75 per dryer, with two of each machine available. The campground WiFi was surprisingly good for streaming video and doing basic work. Verizon and AT&T Cell signal was also strong if you wanted something more reliable for zoom. Not much in terms of going for a walk except for walking around the campground but again for a quick stopover, this was exactly what we needed.

Tracy in the office was very friendly. Checking was a breeze. Bathrooms were spotless. Wish I had more time so I could try to catch some of those big bass in the lake. I would stay here again.

I can’t even explain how picturesque this place is. It’s absolutely stunning! The lake, tall pines, it’s perfect. Great cell signal and data thru both Verizon and T-Mobile. The only drawback is having nothing very close like good restaurants but if you’re looking for seclusion this is it!!
Would recommend!!

Nice overnight stop. The bathhouse was very clean. We didn’t get to swim in the lake, but there’s a nice beach area and looks like good fishing. The owners were very nice and I was able to get a same day reservation. We will keep this campground on the list for future stays as we travel a lot between Florida and TN!

We loved this campground! The staff was super friendly and everything was so clean! Our kids had a great time riding bikes, fishing (you can fish without a license and can keep a few fish per person for free —if you want), and playing bingo in the bicycle barn (their game room / gathering area).
Townsend is close to Harris Neck wildlife refuge —so definitely check that out while you’re there!
Note on the price: we paid about $350 for a 7 night stay. After two occupants, they do charge $3 per day per extra occupant (we have 3 kids, so an extra $9 a day).
