Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on September 23, 2023This is a great small town park. Major upgrades in 2014. 14 sites each with a dead level concrete pad. Water at each site. 30A power at each site. Site 6 also has 50A power. Park is near the river and while there are coal trains on the tracks that run through town I didn’t them. Widely spaced pads with one or two exceptions.
$10 per night/10 night maximum. Lightly used location. Pay in the shiny new drop box. Someone will stop by during the day to give you the unlock code for the water. Just lock it back up when you leave.
Verizon was ok with a booster but pretty slow without. Sat was fine but would depend on which sites as there are some large trees to the south side of the park.
In talking with the town water department manager there are plans for some more trees and with some funding they will add sewer connection at each spot.
Torrington is east of the Fort Laramie national park. The Homestead Museum is in the old train station and has a good snapshot of the local history.
About 30 minutes away is the Table Mtn Winery. Award winning wines made here in Wyoming. They are also a Harvest Hosts member and is another spot to stay.
There was a lot of improvements done in 2014. 14 total sites. All are dead level concrete pads surrounded by gravel. Didn't measure but Class A's would still have room left over. They are also wide enough that you have patio room. Each one has 30A power and water. Site 6 has 50A as well as 30A. City is making a lot of improvements. One of the city personnel said additional improvements would be more trees, a better view of the river and with some funding adding sewer connections at each site. There is a major railroad track about 8 blocks away but even with heavy coal traffic it really couldn't be heard.

Stayed here in May 2018. Great place to bring dogs and kids. Green lush grass and trees. and jungle gym. Clean restrooms. If you like to play horse shoes, they have 10 horse shoe pits. The price is now 15$, with a drop box to pay. The wifi here is super slow, but good enough to check email and write a review. its in walking distance from town (<1 miles). Takeout will deliver.

May 31, 2018. Large trees and grass near our site at the west end. The concrete pads still looke brand new. Our site was electric and water. The wifi was good enough for YouTube and games. Better later. Nice town that wants to make a good impression.

Ok, the bad is that the rate increased from $10 to $15 with a 10 day stay limit.
The good, all sites now have 50a power.
The best, internet backhaul for the cell towers and town in general has been dramatically increased. Previous years even with a good 4 bar signal it was typical to see 1-2mbps speeds.
This year same 4 bars I am getting 20+mbps on Verizon and 10+ on AT&T. Campground wifi is running in the 2-3mbps range.

Cement pads, electric and water and dump on premises Some shade with trees. Only con was we arrived on a Saturday and you have to call City Hall to get combination for lock on water so we had to call the police. They were nice about it. Great park for $15!

Nice RV place for 1 night. All RV places have hard surface. The town of Torrington looks to be dying slowly. Lots of stores are closing or are closed (incl the chinese AYCE in the town center😩)
USD 15 is an OK price.

What a great find! Passed through the Friday of Labor Day weekend and at least half the spots were open. Level sites with concrete pads and electric (20/30/50) for $15. Water hookups for an added few. Right next to the North Platte.

We are traveling through and saw the reviews - folks are right that this is a find. Level concrete pads, electric hookups, water available at the sites (call for unlock code), wide aisles, and a fair price make this a good stopover location. Wifi works, but signal was faint at Site 14, so we just stuck with the 4 bars of LTE. Dump station on site (around the loop near the Fire building). Some train activity, but we honestly didn’t notice it at night (we’ve been at a lot of sites lately with much worse noise).
Look at a satellite image...if you are towing, recommend coming in and then looping around the dump station/fire building to come in for easiest back ins. Shorter rigs can come in by the entrance and pull in or maneuver to back in.

Quite, well maintained RV Park, Police patrolled often. City Park was very active but far enough away that it was peaceful and welcoming.

A good stop for the night while on the road. Has electric and water (but I didn’t bother to call for the lock combo - need for only available potable water) as well as a dump station.
Although I don’t recall total number of sites, there were 5 sites (including mine) taken and a few more open. Near the river and visited by residents (all were friendly and waved) but no issues. Quiet with an occasional train in the distance.
