I know the dump and water is closed during winter however it’s Spring and 65 degrees here but the dump is locked up and the water is turned off. Don’t chance it if others haven’t reported it open yet!
So first off the dump station is open but no water is on to the rest area as of yet. We pulled in to this rest stop yesterday and settled in only to discover the overnight parking area is on the far end and not where the entrance is. No semi trucks allowed at this rest area and the rv overnight area was very quiet for the night even with the 6 or 7 rv's here. Picnic tables, charcoal grills and trash cans made it that much more comfortable and a great view of the solar tower made it a little more interesting. Downside is it's a little close to the highway so a little noise but expected. Quiets down at night. Cell service is spotty, 1 bar for t-mobile, AT&T and Verizon. Overall good stay, water would be great.

We stayed here for a night and it was ok as far as rest stops on the highway go. There are no TT allowed which is nice. We should have gone further in, but there is a sign when you first pull in telling you to park there, but you can also park further in. The water and dump were working and easily accessible although the water leaks when you press the lever, be careful you don't get wet!
It gets very quiet at night here and the area is really large and will accommodate anything from a little Class B to a Class A with toad. We were here at the end of October and the water was already shut off. The dump station is free and open of course but no rinse water in winter! The fresh water faucet is right next to the rinse faucet, so that was a hangup for us somewhat.
The dump hole doesn't have a curb around it which is great for those of us who's dumping mechanism is rather low to the ground (and we can't dump uphill!).
Dogs aren't allowed on the grass but there was lots of bare earth for the dog to walk. They had quite a few trash cans and even doggy bag dispensers (which were empty when we were there).
Would have given it 5 stars if the cel/data coverage would be great, but it wasn't.
We pulled through to the rest area to a gravel lot in the back.... Probably three or four acres. There are some small trees with picnic tables along one edge... so we backed our travel trailer up to the one in the back. One other class A motor home showed up while we were there, and that was it. There is water available, and a dump station. No other hook ups or amenities... .but it was a very restful place for the night.
We were here 6/21/19 for the third time. Nevada really caters to overnight travelers in their rest stops and this is one of the best. No Walmart parking lot for me!. Picnic tables, trash cans, trees, dump, water. What more do you need? It's a perfect stop when heading for Highway 395 in CA, or north to Reno.
Most overnighters stop in the big parking lot on the west side of the central part - but when we left in the morning, saw several other rigs on the east side, or just in the regular parking lot.Safe, free, perfect for the traveler.
We stopped here on our way home to Henderson, NV after picking up our new rig in Mountain Home, ID. This was the perfect spot for a night of dry camping. One item to note - the dump station was locked in the morning before we left (no indication as to why).
I would have dumped out my RV except it was locked and looks like it hasn't been used for a month or more
The water was not locked and tasted good so I filled a couple gallon containers.
I noticed no one has posted that the dump station is open now, We last stayed here 2 years ago. We stayed a couple days, there is an 18 hour stay limit posted but given the Corona virus we had no problems, water is on, dump station open now. We had enough cell signal on t-mobile (was sketchy) and AT&T that we didn't need our booster. Water spigots at the rest rooms and by the far corner of the RV parking area and dump station make this a really good stop for us. We made a video of our parking spot in the RV area. Safe travels all- Cheers

We stay here twice a year on our snowbird travels. There are times dump/water is closed (colder months mostly) but was all open and clean 2020 October. Two to three bars Verizon wifi.
