Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex

Driving down the Space Coast you have to experience the amazement that is the Kennedy Space Center. I highly recommend taking the Kennedy Space Center Bus Tour and learning all about America’s spacefaring heritage. There's even a haunted launch site at Cape Canaveral.

Launch Complex-34 is a decommissioned launch site at Cape Canaveral believed to be haunted by the ghosts of three astronauts who tragically died there on January 27, 1967. Astronauts Gus Grissom, Ed White, and Roger Chaffee perished almost instantly after a fire completely engulfed their Apollo I capsule.

The launch complex broke ground in 1960 and served as the launch site for the Apollo program's launching of Saturn I and IB rockets through 1968. The Apollo I capsule was being tested for launch when the tragedy occurred. To this day, some NASA employees and visitors to the abandoned launch pad have claimed to hear screams and an overall dark feeling when near the pad. According to local lore, at one point NASA even stopped allowing visitors to the site due to "strange occurrences." Today you can pay your respects on an official bus tour.

Who doesn't love rockets, space, stars, and getting as close to exploring another galaxy as a mere mortal can?!

The prices here are a bit over the moon, which honestly makes me sad.

This is an awesome place. Kids loved it a lot and it left a lasting impression on all of us. We talk about this trip a lot. Even my daughter is changing her plans in school to become and engineer to work for NASA, so that says a lot. Like others here have said, the fee to get in is high ($50.00 if I remember) but you get to see a lot of neat things. I was impressed with display of the Atlantis Shuttle. Started with a film of the about the Space Shuttle program ending with the display of the Atlantis Shuttle. Very powerful. One thing to keep in mind since I missed it. There are other bus tours you can go on for an additional fee, but there is also a buses that goes from the space center to the Apollo/Saturn center which is part of your entry fee which I wasn't aware of. The buss leaves every 15 minutes. I was a little disappointed that this wasn't advertised well, but spending the day just checking out the shuttle was still a highlight to our trip to Florida.

À little to expensive i think, Nice place, interresting, arrive early, bus ride tour the complexe is to do in first in the morning so you have time to visite at your own pace after.

What is not to love about the Kennedy Space Center! Every we go to central Florida, we make it a point to stop at the center. My space lover hubby enjoys it, and so did my little one. It was raining the day we visited, but we enjoyed it regardless.

Great place to visit for kids and adults. There's so many exhibits and displays to see. You'll really learn lot of the history. The admission fee is pricey but worth it. Very educational place to visit.

Entry is $10 for parking and one adult ticket is $57. Very expensive!

You do not get value for the insane entry fee. For the price of getting into Disney, you get a much less than Disney quality experience. It was a fun diversion during a long drive but the scant attractions coupled with the lack of fun things to do lead to a very lackluster first stop on our road trip. Definitely not worth the price of admission

Visited on January 1 with husband and two kids (ages of group. 61, 49, 16, 11). Be in shape! There is a lot of walking and you will enjoy the experience if you can walk fast and don’t mind warm weather. We paid $20 for the Cosmic Quest and would recommend it for a middle schooler. The exhibits were fun and educational. The food was not too bad and not too expensive for a theme park. The kids had fun even though they thought a roller coaster should be added. Overall a good day and worth the price of admission.

Only an hour outside Orlando, it's easily accessible and is a wonderful hands-on educational experience for everyone in the family.
