Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on August 20, 2021The Overlook across from the trading post store where you check in was really spectacular. It has a great view of the Flint River below. Only six RV sites here at this well-kept park with 30/50 AMP and water hookups. Our jacks did sink through the gravel base and we had to pull out the pads. Site #1 was great....we pulled head in facing a green forest and a glimpse of the river. We had site #12 for the first night but it got real crowded when the neighbor moved in. Sites 1,2, and 3 are the Best. We used the first east entrance to the campground loop as the west seem to have a steep driveway. Our neighbor really scraped on the way out. Our Rand McNally RV GPS also wanted us to turn down a dirt road on the way here. Beware! It took us right by the well marked road with a big sign at 40 miles an hour to the dirt road. Exciting! We have trust issues...ha! We found Greg Farm Inc. for U pick BlackBerries, blueberries, and peaches with peach ice cream a huge seller! Visit the town of Senoia and Nic and Norman’s for a great cheeseburger and the sets of The Walking Dead TV series. Some beautiful Georgia back roads in the country to cruise around. The river offers beautiful cooling waters in the summer heat.

We live about 75 minutes north of here so we wanted to do a drive by to scout it out for potentially camping here. While the park itself is pretty cool with an amazing overlook view, good river access for kayaking/swimming and an abundance of trails, the campground is forced at best.
There is a small pullout road that has a grouping of 3 camp sites, followed by some cabins (think KOA style) with another 3 campsites at the end of the loop. The campsites seem like they were ill planned and just tossed there. Honestly, the sites are just ugly. Of the 6 campsites, the only one I’d even consider in a pinch is site 3. The last 3 sites on the loop are the worst. They all share a common gravel area and are all on top of each other.
Was hoping for something nicer. It’s a shame they don’t take the “upper parking” spot down by the river and make it into a camping loop as it’s perfectly situated for it.
