The Templeton Rye Distillery offers tour of production area; bottling and barrel warehouse; along with historical video and samples in the grand tasting room. When Prohibition outlawed the manufacture and sale of alcoholic beverages in 1920, many enterprising residents of the small town Templeton, Iowa, chose to become outlaws – producing a high caliber and much sought-after whiskey known as Templeton Rye.
Really fun experience if you have the chance to join a tour! Super informative and great facilities. You get to try a bit of whiskey at the end, too. Worth the trip out here! Read more
