Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on August 08, 2021Great campground. Nice level gravel site with cement pad with picnic table. Great location, river front and a beautiful park with boat rentals a short walk away. There is a creamery adjacent to the campground with delicious ice cream. The pool is small but functional. Nice staff. Overall Great experience.

The good: plenty of stuff for kids to do. Very quiet in the morning and evening so you can hear the song birds.
The bad: Wifi, that is funny. If you can get connected, only allowed 2 devices, you are restricted to email and surfing. No streaming allowed.
The park is not well maintained. Pads are cracked, sewer hookups are broken, looks like nothing has been painted in over a decade, sites are fairly close together.

There is alot of history in Sunbury, PA. Start at The Packer House, N 3rd St., Sunbury, PA if that is your thing.
The towns do Music in the Park. If that is your thing, look up whatever is happening in Sunbury and Northumberland. Sunbury is on one side of the island, Northumberland is the town on the other.
This campsite is seasonal, per the town of Sunbury. Even the seasonal campers, how permanent they look, must move their RVs out of the park between, I think it is November and April.
Site #56 was 3rd row from the river. 1st and 2nd rows, and part of the all the other rows, are all seasonal campers. I think all sites have full hookups. Ours definitely did. The staff was nice. There is a boat ramp, it is steep and narrow. There are other boat ramps around. Depending upon your camper, you may hear traffic on Rt 147 next to the park.
A prior review mentions the ice cream place next to the park. That building is closed, no more ice cream place. There are restaurants in town, if you are into eating out. Shopping is not far away. The laundry room in the park, needs some lights and updating, but it works.
