Hupp's Hill Civil War Park is the home of the ONLY museum dedicated to telling the story of the Civil War Battle of Cedar Creek fought nearby. The museum features numerous archaeological artifacts and a 45 minute film on the battle in our theatre. The Battle of Cedar Creek was the largest battle fought in the Shenandoah Valley.Outside, our grounds have a 1/2 mile loop nature/ history trail that highlights remains of Civil War fortifications, fantasic views of the surrounding landscape, and the unique geology of the region. We also have picnic facilities for those who want to take a break from traveling.Hupp's Hill is also the home of the Gateway to Shenandoah Visitor Center, your information source for travel in Shenandoah County, the Shenandoah Valley, and the state of Virginia.Hupp's Hill is jointly operated by the Cedar Creek Battlefield Foundation and the Town of Strasburg.
