Confirmed by 6 users | Last reported on September 13, 2023We wanted to stay close to Cuyahoga Valley National Park. This city park is only a few miles from one of the entrances of the National Park.
The city park is a grassy rolling field with a fire pits, picnic tables and 20 amp electricity. There is a dump and fresh water. Very rustic.
The park ranger is very nice. He provided recommendations on what to see and even provided a map of the National Park.
By Friday morning, this small park was completely full. Locals came days ahead and set up small tents to reserve their sites. Thursday and Friday they pulled in with their trailers.
Our site was very large with an open view to a field. Several trees around our site and the rolling grass made a nice view. Some of the sites are under a canopy of trees and looked very dark.
All in all, the park met our needs. If you're going to Cuyahoga National Park, this is not a bad place to stay.
Update - this morning we left this campground. It had eained the day before. Ruts, water and soft ground all around. Made for a challenging departure. Would only recommend this campground to rigs less than 30' and high ground clearance helps - which we don't have. Just a word of caution.

Not really levelled. You basically camp in a field. Sites are big and while there are not so many trees, you get some privacy. Access to fresh water and a somewhat old dump station. Electricity is included in the price. Even if some people were obviously gathering to party, the place was pleasently quiet. The staff was great and very helpful. Not the place to do your laundry or get a Wifi signal but you will make a nice fire if you want and have your dinner on a nice picnic table. What more can you expect for 12$...

Pulled into the campground and Ken met us immediately He was so helpful and drew us a map to get to the falls quickly. It has pit toilets close and flush down the hill. Loved the price and the area. Just wish there were flush toilets

It was a really nice campground to stay on with even nicer staff. It was calm and perfect if you want to check out Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

We were driving through the Cuyahoga Valley and hoping to stop for the evening to visit Cuyahoga National Park. To our surprise, there were not a lot of campground options in the area. We found Silver Springs on Campendium and weren't sure if we should take the chance as they do no accept reservations and it was a Friday evening. In the end, we decided to give it a try.
We arrived around 7:30pm and thought that the park attendant would be long gone. The campground looked full but we were thrilled when we met Ken, the park attendant. He let us know which sites were available and helped us find an ideal spot (pull through). During registration, Ken shared information about the closest grocery store, which planets would be visible in the sky that evening, and even offered firewood delivery (10 pieces for $5).
The campground itself is a large grassy area with trees. There was a nice mix of tent and RV/trailer campers. Each site had a picnic table and fire ring. Utilities were in between and shared with neighbors (a few water spots around the campground and electric between sites). Our neighbors were already using the 30 amp but we were able to use the 20 amp. Potable water was available to fill fresh tanks but full city water connection was not an option (note: site 13 is right next to one of the water stations).
One great perk is that checkout is not until 4pm which allowed us to explore the national park in the morning even though we were only staying one night. If you happen to be there on a Saturday morning, the Countryside Farmer's Market at Howe Meadow is a must do! Also, even though we didn't use it, we were told that there's a dog run/park on the far side of the property.

Park was very well groomed. It’s got a fishing pond and it’s a ball park with baseball fields.
They had porta potties on each end of the campground and a bathroom with flush toilets and hot water next to the baseball fields.
There’s a dog run but we didn’t get to see it.
We stayed in site 2 and we only had 20amp hook ups same with site 1 didn’t ge tot check others.
It must have rained pretty heavy before we got there because our site was a bit muddy and soft ground.
Definitely would stay again!

Gave it an extra star for proximity to Cuyahoga Valley NP, bargain price for a site with electric hookups, quiet setting and helpful hosts. No road noise, other campers very considerate. Sites are grass or overgrown gravel. Semi-level. Site #1 was very difficult to level a 24 ft trailer and full sun. Site #4 was much better and full shade. There is also a wooded walking trail network on the east and North sides of the campground.

For $15 this was quite a find! Sites were a little unlevel, but we had plenty of room and electric. Filled our water up on the way to our site and had a convenient dump station when leaving. Very convenient to Cuyahoga NP. Very friendly staff.

The photos shown make it look like the area is flat. Most sites are not. Be aware if you need maneuvering room, that there are ditches and small berms that make it a challenge. Site 11, 27 and 7 were probably the most level without ditches and berms to interfere with maneuvering while backing in.
Take care turning into the camping area from the main road. There is a bit of a dip coming off the main road and the short road in is not in very good shape.
Porta potties, dump station, potable water, trash, picnic tables and fire pits.
They are serious about the 24 hour reservation, even when the campground is half empty. This is a true mystery to us. It is unfortunate that you can not come in and find a spot that is best suited to your rig and then pay online. We definitely would not have selected site 24, but it "looked" good on the reservation map. We saw one camping unit asked to leave by someone from the city who came though several times a day, assuming they did not make reservations 24 hours in advance.
The entire park is huge with ball fields and tons of grass. There is a huge fenced in dog park with a pond that was very busy with pooches.

This is a nice campground and we had electric for $15.00. Lots of grass but no cell phone. We picked up a hoard of stink bugs that were invading the shrubs. We were still finding them weeks later in our Fifth Wheel. A little bit off our route but not bad.
