The only decent place to put a tent is under a tree with a big dead branch above it. Not worth $39 for “rustic” when I might as well have found a motel. Been to more rustic and incredible campgrounds for $15-25 that include running water.
We overnited on a Wednesday in a lightly used part of the park. Spacious grass sites under mature shade trees. Our site was water/electric but easy access dump station available. There are 2 ponds on the property one for swimming and one for fishing. The swimming pond had a trampoline in the middle. Bathroom & Showers were small and not well vented so become humid. No odors.
Staff was very nice and helpful. There is even a bar on premises but is only open on Thu, Fri & Sat.
Seasonal sites were well maintained.

We chose this campground based on its proximity to Madison, which is about 15 minutes away. The camp hosts are friendly and helpful. There are electric and water hookups, but no sewer. There is a dump station at the campground, and they also offer a dump service at your site for $20. Lots to do - there is a swimming pond and beach, and they rent out golf carts. Busier during the weekend but during the week it was quiet (a lot of seasonal campers on the weekends).

Never met the staff. Picked up notice off the Office Door. No map to site. Water is not drinkable to high in nitrates. Price is way to high for the amenities paid for. $73.00 after taxes. No full hook up. Not worth the money. Should only be $35 or $40

We arrived around 2:00 there was no one at the office our paperwork was attached to the door. There wasn’t even a map to show us where to go. The price was $ 72.00 after taxes we were in VIP 3 we had no cell service. We couldn’t drink the water and had to use a dump station because it was not a full hookup. No dog park but a lot for children. We will not go back there.
