Lots of full-timers. Beautiful view of river from pier. Nice pool with water slide but it was closed during our stay due to COVID-19. Same for playground. Friendly, accommodating staff. Clean, pull-through, easy to navigate sites. Only negative was loud music that went a bit over 11 pm quiet time. Small wildlife sanctuary nearby offers tours. Also close to Emerald Isle.

The campground is neat, we’ll maintained, and quiet (we were there during the week). We stayed in one of the 46 non-sewer sites. Discovered when we arrived that there is NO communal pump out! Must wait for someone to leave a sewer site to pump out. Unacceptable.

We arrived and had to go through a gate to get into the campground, we personally like that little bit of security. The site was in a field near the front of this large campground. There was no sewer and no dump station, we had to dump at a pull through site. It was off season (late October) so there were several places to dump, and it was an easy pull through so no extra maneuvering, etc. We loved the field where our site RA13 was located, the grass was well maintained, and the area was huge, great place to walk dogs or have a flag football game. We'll be back, it is part of Thousand Trails, so we didn't have to "pay" with our membership. Lastly, it wasn't crowded when we were here, but had it been busy the sites in the field would have been tight.

Free with our Thousand Trails membership. What a pleasant surprise this place has been! We never know what to expect when we stay at a Thousand Trails/Encore park and this has been one of our favorite spots! About 15 minutes to nearby Swansboro for any shopping needs you could possibly have, and about 15 minutes to the beautiful beaches of North Carolina’s Crystal Coast. This resort is largely comprised of park models and prefabs which are ALL neatly kept, no derelict anything here. The RV area has spacious grass sites with shade trees that are not big enough to cover your rig but are nice to set chairs under. The office has a small store with the basics as well as souvenirs/gifts. Clean laundry room, $1.50 for washing and same to dry. Pool looked spectacular with it’s huge water slide but wasn’t open til the day before we left. Extremely quiet save for some military air traffic. Would definitely stay here again!
