“St. Louis' own Thanksgiving parade”
Celebrating its 29th year, the 2013 Ameren Missouri Thanksgiving Day Parade will step off at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday, November 28 from the corner of Washington Avenue and Fourth Street in downtown St. Louis. The parade will be broadcast live on KMOV-TV Channel 4’s “Great Day St. Louis.” We are honored to have Mary Engelbreit, world renowned graphic artist and illustrator, as our Honorary Grand Marshal. In addition, we expect over 130 parade units, such as musical floats and displays, giant helium balloon figures, animal units and marching bands from around the St. Louis region. As always, Santa Claus will be present to wish everyone a Merry Christmas at the end of the parade. As a Christmas in St. Louis partner, the St. Louis Convention & Visitors Commission’s (CVC) Holiday Magic stlholidaymagic.com team will once again participate in this year’s parade. The Holiday Magic mascot, Snowflake, will also be on hand. The annual Ameren Missouri Thanksgiving Day Parade is hosted by Christmas in St. Louis along with presenting sponsor Ameren Missouri and the City of St. Louis.
